" Here I have tested a duo from the Italian brand Maternatura , which makes hair care for different hair types with natural and organic ingredients. These are especially caring for hair that needs a little support, and have a rebuilding effect – and I can really vouch for the fact that they do! They contain, among other things, extracts from yerba mate leaves but also rice extract and rice protein, which is a pretty hyped ingredient in hair care right now because of its strengthening properties.
What: Maternatura, Reconstructung shampoo with mate leaves . The shampoo is actually step 2 in Maternatura's SOS series, you should use a conditioning product first, but I have only used the shampoo and conditioner and it has worked fine. It is like a transparent gel that smells nice and floral. It is easy to distribute in the hair, easy to massage and it lathers well. Just rinse out and do a second shampoo without any problems.
And the hair is really clean and fresh and the shampoo seems to moisturize the hair. I have really had super fine hair during the time I have used this shampoo. I have also noticed that I have not lost so much hair (you notice it in the shower, I think) and that the hair feels healthy and strong. I also think that it is really affordable. Rating: 5/5.
What: Maternatura, Two-phase Reconstructing Conditioner with rice protein . This conditioner is unlike any I've tried before and at first I thought there must be something wrong with it. But it's not. The conditioner comes in a bottle with a narrow spout and it's liquid, almost like a slightly thicker water, but a whitish color. It's based on rice protein and you just pour it into your hair after washing. Then you let it work for a little while and then you just rinse it out.
And afterwards, the hair feels very, very good. Soft, moisturized, shiny. I quite often have problems with conditioners not moisturizing enough, but this one definitely does! No frizz in sight, just nice, strong and manageable hair. One of the best conditioners I've tried. And for the first time ever, the conditioner ran out before a shampoo. That's never happened to me before. Rating: 5/5."
