Skillnaden mellan bronzer och contour

What is the difference between contour and bronzer?

We often get asked: "What is the difference between bronzer and contour?" We will help you understand the difference and how to easily apply them.

Why do we use contour?

We use contour to sculpt and define our face shape. A contour product is usually in a cooler shade, compared to a foundation which has a warmer tone, to create a shaded effect. We usually place our contour right at the cheekbones, jawbones and hairline to frame the face . The finish is usually matte when we use contour.

How do you apply contour?

1.  Skincare and base: Cleanse and moisturize your face. Apply foundation and concealer as usual.

2.  Sculpt: Use Inika Organics Cheek Topper Brush and Inika Organics Baked Contour Duo . Apply the darker cool shade to create shadows at the cheekbones, along the jawline, on the sides of the nose and on the forehead near the hairline. Start gently and build up the intensity gradually.

3. Highlighter: Apply the lighter shade to the areas you want to highlight, such as the tops of your cheekbones, forehead, bridge of your nose, cupid's bow, and chin.

4.  Blend: Use an Inika Organics Powder Brush to soften the lines and achieve a natural transition between the light and dark areas.

5.  Set: Apply Inika Organics Mineral Setting Powder - Mattifying all over your face to set your makeup and make it last longer.

6. Finish: Add any other makeup, such as blush and mascara. Now your makeup is complete!

Why do we use bronzer?

We use bronzer to add warmth and glow to our makeup. Bronzer is often in warmer brown colors. It is applied where the sun naturally hits the face, which is usually the forehead, cheekbones, jawbones and nose. With a bronzer you will get a natural sun-kissed result. Here you can also choose whether you want a bronzer with shimmer or one that is matte.

How do you apply bronzer?

1. Skincare and base : Cleanse and moisturize your face. Apply foundation and concealer as usual.

2.  Apply the bronzer : Dip the Inika Organics Cheek Topper Brush into the Inika Organics Baked Mineral Bronzer and shake off any excess powder. Apply the bronzer to the areas where the sun naturally hits your face, such as your forehead along your hairline, your cheekbones from your ear to your mouth, your jawline along your jawline, and your nose along your sides. Start with a small amount of bronzer and build up the intensity gradually. It's easier to add more than to take away.

4. Blend : Use the Inika Organics Powder Brush and use circular motions to blend the bronzer thoroughly. Make sure there are no harsh lines.

6.  Set : Apply Inika Organics Setting Powder - Mattifying all over your face to set your makeup and make it last longer.

7. Blush: Apply blush to the cheeks to complete the look.

Good luck!
