Color matching
To find the right tone, it is easiest to follow the jawline or chin, in this way you can compare the color with both the face and neck. We first need to see what undertone the skin has. The most common are yellow (warm), olive (neutral) and pink (cool). One way to see what skin tone you have is to look at the veins on your forearm.
- The skin becomes slightly tanned and the blood vessels appear green = Warm skin tone
- The skin becomes slightly red in the sun and the blood vessels appear blue or purple = Cold skin tone
- Hard to see? Then the skin is usually a combination of the above = Neutral skin tone
If you have the opportunity to physically try, you can take 2-3 colors and put them next to each other on the jawline/chin and choose the color that blends best into the skin.
