Bakuchiol

Bakuchiol

Bakuchiol is found in the shrub Psoralea corylifolia (also called babchi), which grows in East Asia . The plant has long been used in traditional Indian and Chinese medicine due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Bakuchiol is a natural alternative to retinol (vitamin A) and is clinically proven to be just as effective in preventing aging, protecting the skin from further damage, and improving problem skin - without the side effects.

Bakuchiol has been shown to stimulate cell turnover, improve skin tone and texture, and also reduce hyperpigmentation, inflammation, fine lines, wrinkles, and acne. Unlike retinol, bakuchiol does not cause irritation or sensitivity and can be applied both morning and night.
